Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of 14. Along with BJJ She also took classes in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. When she was 18, she made her first appearance as an amateur in WCFC. Ladd gained confidence after her win, and she won three bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents all fell in the 1st round. Ladd returned to WCFC to beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen first defeated Silvia Babyghian before going on to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen and defeated her via unanimity to create an ominous mark on her amateur record. Ladd bounced back from the defeat and beat Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to improve her record to 8-1. Aspen became a professional in 2015. She signed up with Invicta FC and made her debut. InvictaFC 11 was her very first professional bout. Aspen dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing an 1st round TKO. Her next bout was a win with Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. She then fought at bantamweight to fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen's dazzling wrestling ability was able to take down McGill as she was able to end her third round via TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen continued to fight Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 at a catchweight of 138.1lb. Ladd was not capable of achieving the weight but Aspen was victorious and defeated Hoy via TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her final fight for the company. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks defeated by an unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, against Lina Langsberg. She was a step ahead of Lina with her ground and pound techniques and earned the TKO second-round victory. Her dominance grew and she got a bigger win during her next fight against Tonya Evinger. UFC 229 Ladd beat Evinger with a punch during the initial round, and earned a Performance of the Night bonus. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee the fight was between Sijara-Eubanks to win her first major fight. Both fighters fought a close fight that Ladd won by unanimous decision. Both fighters received an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her losing streak. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya after the third round at UFC at ESPN 7. For a replacement last minute to her UFC bout, she fought Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. The fight ended in an unanimous decision.
